Bryan P. Duggan
June 3, 1954 March 9, 2023
"h ’Cg‘ig‘k“: 5 , He began his life’s journey in Burien, WA
with his parents
ix » , Paul and Lorraine, big sister Dianna and brother Mark. He grew
i’ V up in a neighborhood of boys, lots of fun and mischief, belonged
to the Boy Scouts, church activities and Little League Football,
which his Dad coached. Bryan had gerbils, hamsters and even
had a lizard at one time.
Added to the family were two foster sisters Tela and Veda, a ‘full
house’. The family took trips to the ocean, parks and a Disneyland
vacation. High school was a growing up time, learning to drive,
and trying different sports. Bryan discovered that wrestling was
his sport, along with lots of his school friends. He was given a
scholarship to wrestle at the local college. After two years, he
started his career repairing machinery and maintaining the
equipment in the Alaska salmon canning industry. He worked
on Prince of Wales Island, Kodiak Island and Annette Island.
He began having some health issues so he started traveling all
over the U.S., where he remembered being withyhis parents and
brother on so many great adventures. He even went to Central
America for two years. His traveling days ended when he moved
from his condo in Des Moines, WA to Olympia, to once again live
close to his family; he was always making new friends.
Bryan is survived by his mother Lorraine, brother Mark (Lucy),
brother-in-law Don, the Hewa family; aunt Karol (Roger), Sean
Duggan, Christopher (Ashley) Duggan and many cousins, nieces
and nephews; Tela (Mike), Donna (Ken) and Bryan’s buddies. He
joins those on life’s ending journey to a better place; his father
Paul, brother Stephan, sister Dianna, uncle Earl, Jr. and his
dear grandparents Earl and Anna Magnusson.
A Celebration of Bryan’s Life will be held on Friday, April 14th,
2023 at 11:00 am. at St. Edwards Catholic Church, 601 W. “C”
Street in Shelton, WA, a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers,
make a donation to the Salvation Army or any food bank.
All the pain and grief is over, every restless tossing passed;
I am now at peace forever, safely home in Heaven at last.
