After stealing third base, Acosta was
"driven home by an RBI hit from Evan
Hohmann in his only plate appearance.
"It's nice to know we can win without
hitting a bunch of long balls," Geyer said.
North Mason trails Kingston High
School (3-2, 3-0 Olympic League), North
Kitsap High School (4-2, 3-1 league) and
Olympic High School (2-1, 2-1 league) in
the league standings while tied with Port
Angeles High School (3-2, 3-2 league).
With the standings just as close as the
games, Geyer said any team could win the
league at the end of the season.
"If we play good defense, then we've
got a good chance of winning ball games,"
Geyer said.

While the Lady Bulldogs are still
collecting the occasional strikeout and
short pop fly, Fusare said North Ma-
son's offense has improved since the
beginning of the season.
"It was nice to see some of the other
hitters produce for us," she said. "We
were just making better contact."
