Hillcrest Club
• A new member, Mrs. Ruby
Lorenzen, was accepted into the
Hillcre:t Homemakers Club at
the last meeting of the group.
Mrs. Joe Grassl was hostess in
her home.
Members made preparations
for a rummage sale they are
sponsoring for the Mason County
Homemakers Council. It will be
held this Friday from 9 a.m.-
5 p.m. in the Memorial hall.
The next meeting will be held
next ednesday in the Arcadia
Road honle of Mrs. Avis Saeger.
Mrs. Lorna Joplin, representing
the Bamboo Shop, will visit and
demonstrate the making of feath-
er flowers.
A potluck dinner and card
party was held several weeks
ago in the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Darrell Sparks for club
members and their families.
Homemakers Sale
The women of St. Edward's
Wornlen's Club will hold a Card
and Game night beginning at 8
p.m. next Thursday in St. Ed-
ward's hall, 4th and Pine.
Republicans Hold
April Executive
Board Meeting
The executive board meeting
of the MaSon County Women's
Republican Club was held April
4 in\\;the home of club president,
Anita Hall. Mrs. Einar Petter-
sen accepted the apl)intment as
club program chairman. Mrs.
Pettersen did an outstanding job
in this position during 1966.
The regular monthly meeting
will be held at 1 p.m. next Wed-
nesday in the Memorial hall.
Miriam Christian, state commit-
tee woman, will report on the
Republican State Central Com-
mittee meeting held March 31
in R.ichland.
Guest speaker will be Judd
Turner, superintendent of the
Mission Creek Youth Camp, who
will speak on juvenile correc-
tion in the state of Washington.
Interested guests are cordial-
ly invited. Refreshments will be
served.
Program Enjoyea
• Members of World War I Bar-
racks No. 1462 and Auxiliary
met at noon last Thursday in
the Memorial hall for a potluck
luncheon and business meeting.
