Jeffery Justin Ruggles
Jeffery Justin Ruggles,
38, died April 9, 2012, at
Providence St. Peter Hos-
pital in Olympia. He was a
resident of Shelton.
He was born Sept. 2.
1973. in Bellevue to Justin
R. Ruggles and Susie (de
Senan) Nobmann.
He graduated from Mer-
cer Island
~High
School in
1991 and
attended a
motorcycle
mechanics
school in
Phoenix.
He
Jeffery married
Cassandra
Ruggles Williams
in Olym-
pia on Dec. 29. 1994.
He worked in the paving
industry working for Ace
Paving, Woodworth and
Looker Paving. He and Jim
Oakes started Jimini Pav-
ing and Jeff retired in 2009.
His hobbies included
golfing, dirt bike riding,
camping, fishing and boat-
ing.
His family said he was
artistic, mechanical and
enjoyed working with his
hands.
They said he enjoyed
spending time with his wife
and daughter.
He is survived by his
wife Cassandra of Shelton;
daughter Kaylee Ruggles
of Shelton; sisters Jessica
Benjamin (Jerel) of Texas
and Courtenay Hill (BG)
of Oregon; parents Susie
Nobmann (Paul) of Sonoma,
Calif.. and Ralph Ruggles of
Shelton; numerous meces,
nephews, aunts, uncles and
cousins.
He was preceded in
death by his grandparents
and son, Kody.
A service was held on
April 14. Memorial dona-
tions can be made to Shel-
ton Valley Christian School.

He married Mildred
Neustel in Spokane on June
15. 1948.
He worked as a research
chemist for the ITT Rayo-
nier Company in Shelton
from 1962 until his retire-
ment in 1992.
He was a member of
St. David of Wales Epis-
copal Church in Shelton;
Shelton Kiwanis Club: the
National Flutist Society;
Shelton VFW; Disabled
American Veterans; Olym-
pia Mountaineers and the
American Mathematical
Association. He enjoyed
music and playing flute,
saxophone, clarinet, teach-
ing music lessons and rock
climbing.
He is survived by his
wife Mildred Starr of
Shelton; sons Ronald
Starr (Ellen) of Redmond,
Roland Starr (Ann) of
Newark. Dela., Grog
Starr of Tucson, Ariz.,
and David Star (Carol)
of New York: daughter
Sherrillyn Starr of Irvine,
Calif., and eight grand-
children.
He was preceded in
death by his parents Clar-
ence and Stella Starr and
brother Harold Starr.
A memorial service was
held at St. David of Wales
Episcopal Church on April
11.
