The Mary M. Knight track and field
teams had trouble keeping up at the
Naselle Invite last week.
On April 12, the girls' team took
10th place with 20 points while the
boys' team finished in 12th place with
12 points.
The highest individual place an Owl
took was third. Both junior Nick Dier-
kop and sophomore Hannah Frost took
third in events.
Dierkop's third place finish was in
the 300-meter hurdles with a time of
46 seconds while Frost took third in the
400 meters with a time of 1:08.30 and in
the 800 meters with a time of 2:40.00.
The Knight Owls are scheduled to
compete at 3:30 p.m. today at River
Ridge High School in Lacey. MMK will
compete against fellow 1B schools North
River and Wishkah Valley as well as 2B
schools Naselle, North Beach, North-
west Christian-Lacey, Ocosta, South
Bend and Willapa Valley.

The Shelton girls' golf
team couldn't score a home
win last week.
On April 12, Gig Harbor
defeated the Lady High-
climbers 102-63 at Lake
Limerick Golf Course.
Caitlyn Ernst led the
team with 17 points.
Rilee Villanueva fol-
lowed Ernst with 14 points
and Lindsey Norton scored
12 points.
