shall find; knock, and it shall be opened
unto you" -Matthew
1 have been thinking about doors. lol...l)oors
open and close. They are not meant to stay open or
shut forever.
Remember when Jesus was born, and King
Herod ordered all baby boys under two years of
age be killed? An angel came to Joseph in a dream,
and told him to take Mary and the child and flee.
Years later, the angel came back to Joseph and told
him it was safe to go back.
Remember when the ark was finished, and the
animals and Noah’s family were shut in? God
closed the door and no man could open it. As hard
as they tried, they could not get in. It did not open
again for months, until there was dry land. it only
rained for 40 days and nights, but flooded the
whole earth! It took many months to dry up!
It is the same today, because that’s exactly how 1
feel. Like God has always told me where to go, and
when.

He wants to tell ALL of us what to do in ALL
situations — wejust have to LlS'I‘EN.
Why? Because the same way He opens the door
when we are seeking Him, is the same way He can
close a door for our protection.
if we love Him, and want to do HlS will, the
doors will automatically open and close, according
to His will. But. il‘we are trying to do what WE
want to do, it may not be so easy.
I always like to remember David’s prayer, in
Psalm 139223—24:
“Search me, () God, and know my heart: try
me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be
any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way
everlasting.”
That means 1 ask God to check my motives. 1
do not want to open a door that will be bad for
me, or that would hurt Him. I want to make sure
everywhere I go, He can go with me.
So what il‘ we ask for something, and we DON’T
get it?
If we do not receive what we are asking for,
James 4:3 says, “You ask and do not receive,
because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on
your pleasures.”
Again, motives.
Matthew 6:25-32 tells us God will meet all of our
needs. Verse 33 says, “But seek first the kingdom
of God and His righteousness, and all these things
shall be added to you.”
it seems to me, if we are seeking the Kingdom
of God, and His righteousness, we shall find it, and
more will be added unto us, because Psalm 37:4
tells us to “Delight yourself also in the Lord, and
He shall give you the desires of your heart.”
