The land, situated near the Port of Shelton's Sand- erson Field, is part of a larg- er planned development by the Hall Equities group. The Port of Shelton appealed the decision to the Western Washington Growth Man- agement Hearings Board saying that the rezone cre- sted an incompatible land use. The hearings beard inval- idated the comprehensive plan update, requiring the city to provide more data showing that noise from the airport would not create in- compatible land use. Throughout the debate, the port argued that the 160 acres was too close to Sand- erson Field, and that noise complaints would impact See Rezone on page A-3 Shelton man missing By KEVAN MOORE The Mason County Sheriffs Office is asking for the public's assis- tance in locating a missing Shelton man.
