NM senior signs to Evergreen
By DEAN SIEMON
North Mason High School senior
Sadee Ingwaldson is the second Ma-
son County athlete to sign to play
basketball at The Evergreen State
College next season.
Ingwaldson signed her letter of
intent on April 5 to play on a four-
year scholarship at Evergreen.
Ingwaldson finished her season
season for the Lady Bulldogs as one
of the top Olympic League individu-
al players - fourth in scoring, sixth
in rebounds, sixth in assists and
10th in steals.
Inwaldson said she first began
playing basketball at the age of six,
but never really got into the sport
until she came to North Mason.
"I never really had the intentions
of doing something until my sopho-
more year when I realized I could do
it," Ingwaldson said.
Her older sister, Clarissa, played
with her during the 2009-2010 be-
fore Clarissa graduated, who is now
set to attend Weber State Univer-
sity.
Ingwaldson said her big sister
was always her biggest support.
"[Clarissa] was always saying
'Don't quit now, you've come so far,"
Ingwaldson said.
In addition to falling in love with
the atmosphere of Evergreen's cam-
pus, the North Mason senior said
when she met the Lady Geoducks
and the coaching staff, everything
"clicked."
"It's not like they're the best team
out there, but they're the best team
for me," she said.
Another Mason County basket-
ball player, Shelton High School's
Kristy Lee Nahley, also signed her
letter of intent in March.
