Hagen Hawk
Hagen Hawk of 1306 Cota,
70, died Friday in Mason General
Hospital. He was born March 24,
1904 on the "Skokomish
Reservation.
He had lived in this area all of
his life, and was employed as a
logger. He attended the Church of
Christ.
Mr. Hawk is survived by his
wife, Elva, of the home; a
brother, Ted Hawk, of the
Skokomish Reservation; two
sisters, Mrs. Hazel Visser of
Crescent City, California, and
Mrs. lone Knox of Tacoma; and
many nieces and nephews.
The Reverend John H. Moore
officiated at a service held at 11
a.m. Tuesday in Batstone Funeral
Home. Burial was in Shelton
Memorial Park.

Mrs. Winifred B. Morkert,
1130 Cota, died last Thursday in
Fir Lane Terrace Convakscent
Center at the age of 77 years.
Born June 15, 1896 in Swan,
Iowa, she had resided in the
Shelton area since 1934 and was a
member of the United Methodist
Church, Eagles Lodge No. 2079
and Progress Grange No. 304.
Surviving Mrs. Morkert are her
husband, Ray, of the home; a son,
Marvin, of Shelton; three
grandchildren; a brother, Wayne
Wellons of Knoxville, Iowa; and
numerous nieces and nephews.
A service was held at 11 a.m.
Monday in Batstone ,Funeral
Home with Pastor Roland Huber
officiating and burial in Shelton
Memorial Park.

Jule C. Mosley
Graveside services were held
at 11 a.m. Saturday in Shelton
Memorial Park for Jule C. (Joe)
Mosley of Aberdeen who died last
Thursday in an Aberdeen hospital
at the age of 67 years. Mr. Moriah
Lodge No. 11 F and AM
officiated.
Born August 10, 1906 in
Missouri, Mr. Mosley came to
Shelton in 1944. He was
self-employed as abuilding
contractor until in 1946 he was
employed by Rayonier, Inc.
where he worked until 1958.
He then went to Ketchikan,
Alaska, and two years later moved
to Sitka where he was employed
at Alaska Lumber and Pulp
Company for 15 years, returning
to Aberdeen 14 months ago. Prior
to his illness Ire had held a
position as maintenance
supervisor.
Surviving Mr. Mosley are his
wife, Mary Ann, of the home;
three daughters, Mrs. LaVern
Hicks of Port Townsend, and Mrs.
Carolyn Salseina and Mrs. June
Pearson, both of Edmonds; two
brothers, Wayne Mosley of Port
Townsend and O. G. Mosley of
Gig Harbor; four sisters, Mrs.
Greva Tobey of Shelton, Mrs.
Virginia Morgan of Gig Harbor,
and Mrs. Venus Nesbitt and Mrs.
June Hodges, both of Port
Townsend; a stepson, Frank
Rodgers of Sitka; a stepdaughter,
Mrs. Josephine Glenn of Satsop;
14 grandchildren; and one
great-grandson.
Celia Kahele
Celia Kahele, 62, of Auburn,
died at Valley Villa, Renton on
Friday.
Born in Union on September
29, 1911, she lived in Shelton
from 1911 to 1941 when she
moved to Redmond. She had
resided in Auburn since 1952.
Mrs. Kahele'was a member of
the Assembly of God Church of
Everett.
She is survived by two
daughters, Mrs. Roy (Barbara)
Guerrero of Kent, and Mrs.
Joseph (Beverly) Lindoff of
Auburn; a sister, Mrs. Thalia
Smith of Salem, Oregon; 12
grandchildren; and one
great-grandson.
She was the widow of Thomas
Kahele, who died in 1969.
Funeral services were held at
Price Helton Funeral Chapel,
Auburn, on Tuesday at 1 p.m.
Cremation followed.
