th The Shelton High tennis team won its twelfth straight match of an undefeated season last week, taking wins over Yelm, Timberline, and Hoquiam along with the title of the second annual Shelton Tennis Invitational last Saturday. The match against Yelm was held last Wednesday on the Highclimbers' home courts. Shelton won by the score of 5-0. Jack Frost captured the first win of the day in the first singles, beating Rudy Smith 6-1,6-0. Dale Campagna also picked up a win, downing Steve Wulfekuhle 6-2, 6-0 in the second singles. In the third singles, Wes Stockwell pulled off two perfect sets over Jason McCarty, winning 6-0, 6-0. Dave Hanson and Lincoln Miner also scored perfect sets in their 6-0, 6-0 win over John on their own ground. Jack Frost won the first singles over Tim Strong 6-0, 6-3. Dale Campagna also took a win over his opponent, by a close 7-6 score in the first set and then 6-0 in the second. Wes Stockwell finished off Bret Carey 6-1,6-0 in followed the tied second-place finishers with three points apiece, while Hoquiam trailed with two. Terry By RANDY LEWIS Shelton won its sixth meet against a single loss Friday with an 80-65 win on the road against Hoquiam. Shelton won on depth - it took only 9 of 17 events - as both hurdles (15.0, 21.7) and running on both winning relays. Mike Haze took seconds in both tile high hurdles (16.2)and high jump (6'). Junior Bob Davis surprised in the high jump with a personal best of 6'. Miller to a sweep in the javelin. Lyle Oling won the discus with a very good 143'8". Jeff Pill took second in the discus (141'8") and in the shot at 50'11". Tomorrow the Climbers travel to Centralia for their last dual (Molinero, Nelson, S. Settle). Dave Hanson and Lincoln Miner won the first doubles for Shel'ton defeating Keith Chrapczynski and Bob Newbary 6-0, 6-1. In the second doubles match Paul Skipworth and Jim Teberg defeated John Kruger and Marv Greenlee 6-0, 6-1. Monday Shelton played Hoquiam and won 5-0, capturing its eighth league win of the season, putting the Climbers in number one position with only one match before going to sub-district this weekend. Jack Frost took yet another win over his opponent, defeating Hoquiam's Jim Lindberg 6-2, 6-2. Dale Campagna also beat his opponent, defeating Van Sherman 6-0, 6-1. Wes Stockwell won over Tom Lane 6-1,6-2. Lincoln Miner and Dave Hanson took first singles after playing an extra set with Jim Waldon and Fred Osborne. Shelton lost the first set 5-7, but came back the second and third, winning 6-2 and 6-4. In the second singles division, Paul Skipworth and Jim Teberg beat Chuck Stuart and Tom Warner 6-3, 2-6, 7-5. Shelton also played three jayvee singles matches and one jayvee doubles. Mark Jaros won the first match over Dave Starr 6-1, 6-0. Paul Kamin beat Charlie Weed 6-1, 6-1. Alan Saeger defeated Don Langford 6-0, 6-0. In the one doubles match, Paul Kamin and Alan Saeger vanquished Dave Starr and Charlie Weed 6-0, 6-2.
