A group of 40 high school and
college-aged youth from the
Portland-Vancouver area will be
in Shelton this weekend to
present the musical "Coming
Together." Under the direction of
Wayne Davis, the troup has been
making a tour in the Northwest,
and plans a trip to Europe next
year.
The presentation will be held
at Faith Lutheran Church May 4
at 7:30 p.m. Members of the
congregation will provide a
fellowship supper at 6 p.m.
Families are to bring a spaghetti
hot dish and tossed green salad.
The guest group will spend
the evening at Faith Church in an
"overnighter" with local youth.
Following a special breakfast the
singing group will conduct the
morning worship at 10:15 a.m.
with the contemporary mass
"'Rejoice."
The public is welcome to
attend the musical Saturday at
7:30 p.m. and to participate in
the worship celebration Sunday at
10:15 a.m. A freewill offering will
be received Saturday evening to
help provide for the group's travel
and equipment expenses.
Drug group
to meet
The regular monthly meeting
of the Thurston-Mason
Community Drug Program Board
will be held May 6 at 7 p.m. in
the Thurston County Courthouse
Annex - Commissioners' Meeting
Room. Lois Soper is chairperson.
Members will review plans and
budgets from the various
community drug prevention
agencies for the year 1975.
Any questions about the
meeting can be answered by
calling Patrick Libbey,
Community Coordinator, at
753-8071.
