Editor, the Journal
The May 2 Journal had a]etter
from Earl Mallinger that included
the statement "There are 3 million
Muslims in our country, I have not
read any of them killing anybody,
have you?" Earl, I have no idea what
you read, but you might look up the
following:
Feb. 26, 1993: World Trade Center
Bombing, six murdered
Sept. 11, 2001: NY/PA/D.C 2,972
murdered
Nov. 5, 2019: Fort Hood, Texas, 13
murdered
April 15, 2013: Boston, three mur-
dered
Dec. 2, 2015: San Bernardino, 14
murdered
June 12, 2016: Orlando, 49 mur-

Mr. Makar says that "I cannot help
but notice that nobody ever thought
the Russian activity was a problem,
and not one individual sought to alert
American counterintelligence." What
about the fact that nobody bothered
to warn the Trump campaign that
there were noises of Russian counter
intelligence andto be aware that
they might contact someone in the
campaign? According to the "talking
heads," it is policy to notify people
when there is suspected counter in-
telligence going on;like they notified
Feinstein that she had apotential
Chinese spy on her staff.
There was evidence prior to the
-election that the Russians were try-
ing to cause trouble in the election
-- President Obama and Vice Presi-
dent Biden did nothing? Why? Is this
considered "unpatriotic" behavior as
Let's find areas
where we agree
Editor, the Journal
Donald Trump was not my first
choice of Republican candidates for
president, but he is the person who
won the primaries and in my opinion,
he is way better than the alternative
on the November 2016 ballot!
President Trump may be a lot of
things, but a "tyrant" and "no patriot
are not among them!
In his letter, Andrew Makar has
called President Trump "a tyrant,"
and therefore, not a patriot. A quick
"Google" search says the definition
of tyrant is 1.) a cruel and oppres-
sive rule: a person exercising power
or control in a cruel, unreasonable or
arbitrary way. I would like to ask Mr.
Makar to provide specific examples of
President Trump's cruel and oppres-
sive rule-- or even unreasonable or
Let's face it, the Russians wanted
to cause discourse in America because
if we are fighting among ourselves,
we aren't paying close attention to
what is going on in the world. There
is nothing quite like Americans when
we are united on a common goal,
just look at the response to Sept 11.
But now we are fighti/ag amongst
ourselves, calling each other horrible
names, impugning each other's integ-
rity and reputation, making unfound-
ed statements like they are the truth.
We need to stop, and stop now!
So please, let's stop the name call-
ing! Stop the half-truths! Stop the
innuendos! Let's try to come together!
Let's try to find areas where we can
agree! Let's take steps forward to-
gether! America is the greatest coun-
try on the planet (if it wasn't would
there be such an illegal immigration
problem?) Let's strive to make it bet-
ter for children, grandchildren, etc.
-- help them to see and know what a
truly great country we live in!
"No patriot?" What do you call
