Dean Palmer professional photographer of Shelton
was asked to the Governor's office to witness the
signing of a proclamation by Governor Rosellini,
designating the week ,of May 17 to 23 as profes-
sional Photographers of Washington Week. This
week will coincide with the Washington Profes-
sional Photographers Convention being held at
Ocean Sh,ores. The main purpose of the Association
is to help p~9fessional photographers increase their
technical skills, fortify their ethical standards and
help increase public appreciation of professional
photograhphy. Dean, is a past president of the
Southwest Chapter of the Professional Photogra-
phers of Washington and was chosen Convention
Chairman. He has spent a busy three months or-
ganizing the Convention. His efforts will culml.
nate Saturday when he closes his studio and takes
Convention. This year's convention, with its 42
program participants, will include demonstrations,
commercial industrial and portrait photography as
well as workshops and clinics in retouching, oil
coloring, sales promotion and customer relations.
