DL's CORNER
This week, anyone that has
anything to do with the 26th
annual Forest Festival is wildly
trying to get everything done, and
next week becomes even more
frantic...
Well you needn't become
frantic for any reason, as there are
plenty of good sales going on even
this week in Mason County. Just a
few of them are...
At BECKWITH'S JEWELRY,
where Guy Beckwith is really
clearing everything out of the
store. Guy is leaving the business,
so is selling everything except the
fixtures, walls, floors and ceiling,
but you better hurry as a sale
such as this doesn't happen every
week and neither do these
buys...
For sport shirts, be sure and
stop in at PENNEY'S. Seems that
Clint Harrington, manager, has
put many of the Towncraft sport
shirts on sale so better hurry on in
and don't miss out...
For money savin' coupons
good all over the store check the
MONEY SAVER advertisement
this week. Manager Shirley
Cameron has plenty of goodies
just waitin' for your
inspection...
Hey Ladies! Looking for a
wig? Then stop in at MILLER'S
and take a gander at the wigs on
display. Manager Ron Elledge has
brought in a fabulous collection,
so better run in and see 'em
today...
Manager Bob Bottemiller has
one of those fantastic Dollar Sales
going on this week over at
SPROUSE-RE1TZ. You can save
like a bandit if you hurry in to
the store today...
The OLD MILL TAVERN at
ltoodsport is giving up their
Thursday buffet. A terrific
success we understand, but the
crush of tourist traffic is
overwhelming so something has to
go. They plan to continue it again
in the fall, but don't miss out on
the last one this week...
For easy do it yourself tile,
look to Armstrong from B & R
SALES'. Manager Jerry Watilo
says this is the greatest so better
look into it today . ..
Str'etcfihble 6~fial~ a~ bffthe
agenda at MILLER'S SHOE
DEPT. Better walk in and see
these wonders for summer
soon . . .
That's --30-- for this week but
remember that "History is
something that never happened,
written by a man who wasn't
there."

Billy Herndon, about 45, 121
Railroad Ave., Apt 1, was taken
to Mason General Hospital about
4:45 a.m. Tuesday for treatment
for smoke inhalation.
Firemen answered a call after
the bed in his apartment caught
fire.
Firemen removed the burning
mattress from the apartment and
extinguished the fire.
Damage to the building was
estimated at $10 and $50 to the
contents.
City Police assisted with
traffic control and took Herndon
to the hospital.
Break-In At
Junior High Told
Shelton Junior High School
has been entered twice in the past
week by persons who scattered
books and papers around, but, did
little damage.
The first break-in was
reported by Custodian William
Henderson Thursday morning and
the second Sunday morning.
Police said entrance was made
by removing a pane of glass on
the West end of the building.
I believe that every right
implies a responsibility; every
opportunity, an obligation; every
possession, a duty.

you start . . . you don't like to stop.
During these uncertain times it's especially important to have
a "little something" put away in case of emergency.., or a sudden
opportunity.
You can have your own "emergency fund" by saving for it
regularly here with us.
And chances are you won't even miss it.
The toughest part about saving is starting. SO why not stop
by tomorrow. Begin paying yourself first for a change.
