SHELTON PROFESSIONAl_ CENTER, inc.
The Shelton Professional Center, holding open house this Saturday, is
the latest addition to the growing medical services for the convenience and
welfare of Mason County residents.
Located across Thirteenth Street from the new Mason General Hospital,
the Center houses the professional offices of seven physicians, two dentists
and a pharmacy.
The Shelton Professional Center was planned and constructed on the Mt.
View location when the downtown Shelton General Hospital was closed and
the new hospital, Mason General, was opened on Mr. View in October of
1968. The proximity to the hospital allows the physician tenants to
efficiently serve the needs of out-patients in their offices as well as patients
receiving treatment in the hospital.
The complex has a total area of 13,162 square feet distributed through
5 separate buildings. A complete pharmacy with drive-in service, operated by
Evergreen Drug Center, occupies one building while the other four buildings
are divided into nine professional suites.
Located ill a park-like setting of native evergreens, the buildings
complement their natural surroundings with exteriors of cedar siding and
Feather River stone.
Tile interior decor of the reception rooms and offices features warm
wood paneling highlighted by earth toiled carpeting, draperies, seamless lloor
covering and vinyl wall covering. Music is piped throughout the buildings and
a heat pump provides a comfortable heating, cooling and ventilation system.
A series of large parking lots adjoin the buildings with spaces for I 11
cars. Sidewalks, planting area and out-door benches serve each of the
buildings.
