1 MEMBERS of the Mason County Forest Festival Royal Court and princesses from rural schools and Shelton Junior High School were guests of Simpson Timber Company Monday for a tour of the woods operation and other Simpson operations. Application has been received by the Seattle U.S. Army Corps of Engineers office from Ervin Dorenbush, Sumner, for a Department of the Army permit for work in Hammersley Inlet near Shelton. The work is to retain an existing bulkhead, fill and boat ramp; construct additional bulkhead. The existing work was completed in 1972 and is planned to eliminate erosion and provide a boat launching and protect an existing tree.
