to 0, in a Saturday night game at Loop Field.
The Climbers have now raked up five straight pennants
in diamond competition.
The championship is the fifth straight for the Climbers.
Their current season record is 8 and 1 with two games
remaining to be played. The victory over second-ranked
Montesano, however, makes them impossible to catch.
Five seniors will be playing their last season under
Coach Red Smith. They include pitcher Don Cleveland,
outfielders Ted Dale and Jean Simmons, and infielders Jack
