Head-on wreck on 10i injures three By KEVAN MOORE Two Lilliwaup teenage boys and a Shelton woman were all sent to the hospital in the early morning of May 20 following a head-on collision on Highway 101. The state patrol said that Shelton resident Jeannie Rae Anderson, 32, was driving a 2003 Pontiac Grandam north- bound when she turned into the path of a 1988 Honda Ac- cord being driven southbound by William Kyle Oskam, 18, of Lilliwaup. Oskam took evasive action toward the northbound lane to avoid Anderson, but she then swerved back into her own lane and they hit head-on. The state patrol said that the cause of the wreck was negligent driving on the part of Anderson and that she would be charged. Anderson had ankle injuries and was transported to Provi- dence Saint Peter Hospital in Olympia. Oskam suffered head inju- ries and was transported to Mason General Hospital. Also in the car with Oskam was fel- low Lilliwaup resident Dwight Arro, 16. He suffered chest in- juries and was also transport- ed to Mason General. The state patrol said that Oskam and Arro were both wearing seat belts, while An- derson was not restrained. The wreck occurred at 6:45 a.m. at 27821 Highway 101. The collision closed the road in both directions for an hour and 15 minutes. Both vehicles were totaled and impounded by Jim's Tow- ing.
