• Over 185 senior class mem-
bers and their guests have re-
gistered for the 1969 graduation
party at the Top of the Ocean
in Tacoma. This year's celebra-
tion marks the largest ever held
for a She]ton class.
The parents' committee held
a final planning meeting Mon-
day. They approved the budget
for the party and completed de-
coration plans.
The committee urged students
to fuIIfill registration payments
and to make final transportation
arrangements. A school bus will
be available for those needing
rides.
Several committees require ad-
ditional assistance. Those parents
interested are asked to call one
of the following', for contribu-
tions of snack food, Mrs. Russell
Viger, 426-4706; for contributions
to prizes, Mrs. Ernest Timpani,
426-2400. Those wishing to help
as a chaperone or game operator
should call Dick Rolling, 426-

The home this year was built
for the Leonard Friend family
and is located at 515 Puget St.
Eleven students, under the su-
pervision of instructor Arne John-
sen, have taken part in the pro-
ject under which the class pro-
rides the labor to do the car-
pentry work on a home each
year as a class project,

selection of the family for whom
the house will be constructed

Club met Monday nght, Winners
for North-south were: Tom Hal-
pin and Nancy Jeffrey, Mr. and
Mrs. Bill Pethtel, Dexter Edge

The Sbelton Br:dge Club meets
every Monday night at 7:15 in
the PUD building. All bridge play-
ers are welcome.

• The World War I Veterans
of Madrona Barracks 1462 and
the Auxiliary will meet in the
Memorial Hall next Thursday at
noon. A potluck luncheon will be
served.
Local Red Cross
Offers Course
• The Thurston-Mason County
Chapter American Red Cross is
offering a course in mother and
baby care beginning Tuesday.
The twelve hour course will be
given in six lessons on Tuesday
and Thursday mornings from
9:30 to 11:30 in the Red Cross
Chapter House at 1407 Capitol
Way, Olympia.
Th(xe interested may enroll
by contacting the Red Cross Chap-
ter (352-8575). There is no charge
for the course. The Red
Chapter is a member agency of
the United Good Neighbors.

• Fireman Apprentice David
M. Bunnell, USN, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Edward R. Bunnell, Shel-
ton, is serving aboard the attack
aircraft carrier USS Ticonderoga
off the coast of Vietnam.
His ship's present assignment
with the U. S. Seventh Fleet At-
tack Carrier Striking Force, Task
Force 77, consists of supporting
U. S. and Allied forces and at-
tacking enemy supply routes in
the Republic of South Vietnam.
