COVERING THE WATERFRONT-- Upland as-
pects of the logging industry get most attention
from Forest Festival floatmakers but Ken and
Scott O'Dell, whose grandfather, Paul Leege,
BEST FRATERNAL FLOAT--.Shelton Lions Club took first in
the Fraternal division of the Paul Bunyan parade with this lovely
float. Prin¢¢u Pare McComb of Shelton junior high graces it.

rade Saturday. The boat is a replica of the
famed boom-tug A. B. Govey.

religious theme of the 1962 Forest Festival.
BEAMING BLOOMFIELDS -- Queen Darlene
and her parents, Pete and Maxine Bloomfield,
basked in the spotlight after the coronation cere-
mony Thursday night at the Queen's banquet,
officially putting the 1962 Forest Festival into
gear. Queen Darlene wears her new crown and
holds a beautiful bouquet of roses presented to
her by Forest Festival president Clive Troy.
