Saturday's warm sunny weather made a hike on up the river more enjoyable even though there were numerous stops to warm feet and remove snow from boots. The hot day was responsible for a rapid snow melt which swelled the fiver, making the evening crossing back to camp a little tricky as Michael soon learned when he became drenched in the icy waters.
