I'm happy to report that we now have 250 pounds of canine in our home! The community can help me and my new TSE partner by ad- hering to the following: Please, don't talk to my new dog or make eye contact with him. He is learning his new role and has been educated to ignore the pub- lic, so treat him as you would any other mobility device such as a cane or wheelchair. He is on a very special diet, which he loves. So do not feed him or offer any snacks. Any change in his diet could make him very ill. Please don't pet him! He is a working dog, but rest assured he gets plenty of pets, play and love at home, out of harness (non-work- ing). Kevin and I are very blessed to live in such a wonderful and understanding community. As perhaps payback, it would be our pleasure to speak to groups about the guide dog process - the genet- ics involved, the puppy raising, the training, how they are matched, their job and roles and so on.
