County ok,ays fair act funding
Entertainment is rolling into
town. During a regular meeting
on Tuesday the Mason County
Board of Commissioners autho-
rized a number of contracts for
the 2007 Mason County Fair &
Rodeo.
These included the following
Z::::::::::, :: :
entertainers: The Original Mu-
sicasters for $1,000; Jerry Har-
ris for $2,550; Dave Pierik doing
business as CelloDad for $250;
Chris Wedes doing business as
J.P. Patches for $700; Jonathan
Harris for $2,700; Let's Pretend
Entertainment for $2,250 plus
three nights hotel accommoda-
tions; Danny Vernon for $700;
Randy Linder Band for $1,300
plus draft horse feed.
Commissioners contracted:
Kathy Haigh of Haigh Veterinary
Hospital ibr $700 worth of vet-
erinary inspections; Shelton High
School Naval Junior Reserve Of-
ricer Training Corps Booster Club
for $800 to serve as parking at-
tendants; and Jennifer Madden
for $500 worth of veterinary in-
spections.
The county will pay J.D. McIAng
$2,250 for announcing services,
Lacy HK-Bar Rodeo ComPanY
$6,000 tbr Bull-o-Rama stock; i
tractors plus three nights l0
accommodations and draft h0
feed.
This comes to a grand total .of
$34,700, which has been set aside
in the fair and rodeo budget.
