also have to be thankful for what we have accomplished. I am excited
to see where running can take me in the future. l would like to thank
my coach, teammates and my family for supporting and helping me
along the way.”
Coach Doug Sells’ comments: “Jacob became a student ofthe
sport. Along with guidance from (distance and cross country coach
John Johnson, Jacob was able to work smart and hard at the same
time. With this being only his second year of track, it was incredible
the amount of improvement Jacob had. As post season rolled in, J a-
cob stepped it up and competed for placing to get to the next level. Ja-
cob dug deep and did what he had to do to move on to state, breaking
a 35-year—old (school) record in the 3,200 meters at the state meet. We
are all very proud.” '
