Player of the Year
Hannah Pratt
Senior Shelton
About Pratt: Pratt had one win at. doubles and four wins as a singles
player for Shelton. The senior played as the No. 1 singles player all year.
She finished second in the Evergi'eeanonference tournament after fall-
ing in the championship match. ' , ~
Hannah Pratt’s comments: “Most opportunities are created by
luck. It takes skill to g ‘asp those opportunities and turn it into
success.”

Coach Jennifer Deyette’s comments: “Hannah was a dominant
player this year for the SHS girls tennis team. As coaches, we knew we
could rely on her as a leader for the team and to go hard for the win.
Hannah will be missed. Hannah was one of those players who reached
out to those younger and new to tennis. She was always willing to give

Jayden Lovingfoss Wyatt Wagner
Juniors - Shelton
About Lovingfoss and Wagner: Wyatt and J ayden were the top
due for the Shelton boys tennis team this year. They earned a spot at
the district tournament and finished fourth in October to earn a spot
in the state tournament in Seattle in May. The duo lost their first
match, won the second match but fell in the third match to fall just
shy of earning a medal.
Jayden Lovingfoss’ comments: “I am excited and surprised to
be named eo-MVP. Wyatt and I always try to go out, play our best and
have fun. I am very happy with how our season went. This year was
our first time going to state and we played really well. If we can get
back to state next year, I think we can do even better and maybe place
, in the top eight.”
Wyatt Wagner’s comments: “I was super excited to hear that
J ayden and I received MVP for Mason County for tennis. We had a re—
ally l'un season playing doubles together and getting as far as we did.
With baseball as my main sport and focus since I was young. I enjoy
the chance to improve at another sport and a different style of com~
petition. I’m looking forward to my senior year and hope that Jayden
and I will be able to get even further in the state tournament next
spring." .
Coach John Perry’s comments: “They had an amazing year.
They are both juniors. so I can’t help but think they Will be tough next
year! So impressed with those two guys — great athletes and great
work ethic. Both of them are going to be very successful and do great
things after they graduate!”
Caleb Brennan, Shelton
