They recently came up from their home in Escondido, California, and are staying at the Rest-A-While Park in their mobile home. Mr. and Mrs. Chris Rasmussen of Gig Harbor brought their horses to the Dosewa!lips and went for a trail ride over the weekend. Assistant Scoutmaster Nick Simmons, Glen Taylor and Troy Goos were selected as candidates for the Order of the Arrow, a national order of Scout honor campers. Members are judged on camping ability and Scout spirit. Out of 32 selected nationally, Troop 11 of Hoodsport had three. The scouts had to go through a survival ordeal over the weekend at Camp Thunderbird. Some members of Cadet Troop 119 and leaders Karen Bowen, Decie Ball and Donna Simmons went on a two-day hike from LaBar Creek Bridge to the camp on the South Fork of the Skokomish River over the weekend.
