Obitua Morris Allard Rosary service will be held Thursday, June 29 at 7 p.m. at Batstone Funeral Home for Morris Allard, who died Tuesday, June 27, at Mason General Hospital in Shelton. Born April 23, 1910 in Saint John, North Dakota, he was 68 years old. Formerly of the Seattle and Tacoma areas, he lived in Shelton for the past 15 years. He was a retired carpenter and welder, and was a member of Saint Edward's Roman Catholic Church. Survivors are his wife, Shirley L. Allard of Shelton; a brother, Harry AUard, of Auburn; a sister, Georgia Hooker of South San Francisco, California; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral for Mr. Allard will be Friday, June 30 at 11 a.m. at the Batstone Funeral Home with Father Michael Feeney officiating. Burial will follow in Shelton Memorial Park. Alfred Ribbans Alfred Ernest Ribbans, a long-time county resident, died June 21 in Victoria, B.C. at the age of 87 years. Born in London, England in 1891, he emigrated to Canada in 1912, and was a steward on the Canadian Pacific boats. In 1914 he enlisted with the Canadian forces and served in France for four years during World War II. In 1938 Mr. Ribbans came to this area to work for the Latzel Dairy and lived here until 1975 when, in poor health, he returned to Canada. He was an honorary member of the Madrona Barracks No. 1462, Veterans of World War I, of Shelton; and a member of The Canadian Legion of Victoria, B.C.; the American Legion, Fred Wivell Post; the Shelton Sheriff's Posse, of which he was past captain; the Silver Stars Riding Club; and the Golden Age and Senior Citizens Clubs. Alfred Ribbans is well remembered in Mason County for his love and his training of Ot S. Survivors include two daughters, Marjorie Bennett of The Victoria, B.C., and Patricia Scale of Metchosin, B.C.; five sisters, Mrs. Rose Keir of Shelton, Mrs. Eva Latzel of Shelton, Mrs. Louise Reeves of White Rock, B.C., Mrs. E. Gregory of London, England, and Mrs. L. Hamilton of San Diego, California; 11 grandchildren, 14 great.grandchildren and a great-great-grandson. Burial was at Royal Oak Cemetery in Victoria, British Columbia. Sarah E. Caton Longtime Allyn resident Sarah E. Caton died Saturday, June 24 in Bremerton at the Bremerton Convalescent Home. She was 89. Born January 13, 1889 in Gold Run, California, Sarah Caton lived in Allyn for 28 years and spent several years in Shelton. Her survivors include two sons, James William Sargent of Belfair and Clem S. Sargent of Belfair; two brothers, Frank Bishop of Salem, Oregon and Pash Bishop of Centralia; two granddaughters and two grandsons, six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Caton were held Monday, June 26 at Batstone Funeral Home with Father Donald Maddux officiating. Burial followed in Shelton Memorial Park. Edward Heller Edward W. Heller died Thursday, June 22 at the Auburn Hospital at the age of 53. A resident of the Elma area for the last 10 years, he was born September 24, 1924 in Fremont, Nebraska. Mr. Heller was a World War II army veteran, and was employed as a truck driver for a beverage distributor. Survivors include his wife, Christina Heller of Elma; sons Karl in California and Raymond in Germany, both serving with the U.S. Army, and Douglas and Arthur of the family home; his mother, Mary C. Services were held Monday, June 26 at Batstone Funeral Home with Pastor Roland Huber officiating. Ralph McMahon Former Shelton resident Ralph McMahon died at Port Angeles Tuesday, June 20. Born in Gary, Indiana in 1906, he has resided in Buckley, Washington since 1971. He moved to Shelton in 1934, marrying Muryl C. Chase in 1935. Mr. McMahon was employed at the Bremerton Naval Shipyard during World War II and then worked at the Rayonier Pulp Mill until 1957, when lie and his family moved to Ketchikan, Alaska. Ralph McMahon was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Enumclaw, active in Senior Citizens organization, and a volunteer at Rainier School in Buckley. Surviving are his wife, Muryl C. McMahon of Buckley; two sons, Arthur R. of Ketchikan and Darrel L. of Port Angeles; two daughters, Mrs. Royce (Patti) Ranniger of Ketchikan and Mrs. lan (Margie) Systma of Shelton; and nine grandchildren. Memorial services were held at the Church of the Nazarene in Enumclaw Friday, June 23, with the Reverend Ed McConnell officiating. John C. Ragan Funeral services were held Monday, June 26 for John C. Ragan, who died in Shelton on Wednesday, June 21 at the age of 47 years. Pastors Kenneth Robinson and Jerry Hamilton officiated at the rites in First Baptist Church. Born December 4, 1930 in Port Allen, Louisiana, John Ragan was a Shelton attorney for many years. He was past master of Union City Lodge F. and A.M., a member of Shriners, a member of the Thurston-Mason County Bar Association and American Bar Association, and belonged to the Elks Lodge No. 2476. Mr. Ragan was active in the Tumwater Council of Boy Scouts and in his children's school and athletic activities. He was an army veteran of the Korean War. Surviving are his wife, Carolyn, and children Craig, Debbie and Alex, all of the family home in Shelton; his stepmother, Tinye Ragan of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; and two sisters, Ethel Brupbacher of Baton Rouge and Jennie Lee Rajah of Los Angeles, California. Cremation was under the direction of Batstone Funeral Home. Randee Peterson Randee M. Peterson, the infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Randall Peterson of Shelton, died Saturday, June 24 at Mason General Hospital. Born March 28, 1978, Randee leaves survivors which include her parents; a sister, Denise Peterson and a stepbrother, Shane Peterson; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Dodge of Shelton; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Peterson of Colstrip, Montana; maternal great.grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. • Clive Troy of Shelton and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Dodge of Rainier, Washington; and numerous aunts and uncles. Cremation was under the direction of Batstone Funeral Home.
