Adopt-A-Pet Dog of the Week
This is Princess and what a lovely girl she
is. She came to us when her family had to
move and they could not take her with them.
She is a six year-old Shepherd/Lab mix with
a very gentle and loving disposition. She loves
to play, enjoys the company of other dogs as
well as children and she is ready and eager for
her new family to come and adopt her. Please

Bordeaux Elementary first graders recently enjoyed books read aloud by John Lester of Arnold Smith
Insurance. In an endeavor to encourage life long reading, Lister has been coming to Bordeaux for
three years each spring to read to first-graders. This year students listened to [Ize Rattletrap Car" by
Phyllis Root and then voted on whether to read "The Napping House" by Audrey Wood or "The Three
Little Rigs" by David Gordon. Following the read-aloud the classes the students made an oath to use
and share their surprise gift, which turned out to be a personalized book. Lester's final message to the
children was: you can read, you can do anything."
