Peggy Cummings Bolling was well known and ad- mired in the Mason County horsemanship community prior to her death from can- cer in 1991. She was an ac- tive leader in 4-H and the Mason County Fair. When Peggy learned that a local riding club for spe- cial-needs children would have to close due to lack of funds, she launched the Happy Trails Fun Ride, which became an annual fund-raiser for the special- needs riding program.
