charged with second-degree
assault, a "strike" offense.
Deputy Prosecutor Tim
Whitehead said the stan-

an offender score of two. He
said the period of commu-
nity custody would be nine
to 12 months.
With an exceptional sen-
tence above the standard
range, the period of super-
vision is from nine to 18
months, he added.
Sentences of less than a
year are served at the Ma-
son County Jail and sen-

served at a Department of
Corrections facility.
The victim, Edward
Cultee, had a deep and long

I am guilty."
He said being in prison

She told Longshore, "This
is no way to begin a young
