NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Sealed bids will be received by the Mason County
Commissioners by 3:00 pm, Thursday, July 23, 2009,
at the Information Counter at Building 1,411 North Fifth
Street, Shelton, Washington, for the following contract:
Mason County Parks &Trails Office Building,
located at 2100 E Johns Prairie Road, Shelton,
Washington. Bids received after the time for receiving
bids cannot be considered.
PROJECT DOCUMENTS
Bidding Documents for the work are those prepared
by Foster & Williams Architects, P.O. Box 102, Shelton,
WA 98584; 360-426-0511, Fax 360-426-2926.
Bona fide General Contract Bidders, Mechanical and
Electrical Subcontractors may obtain one set only at the
office of Mason County Parks & Trails at 2100 Johns
Prairie Road, upon deposit of a check made payable to
the Mason County Parks & Trails in the amount of $50.00
per set, refundable upon return of the bid documents
within 15 days after bid opening.
Bidding documents will be available for examination
by subcontract bidders during the bidding period in the
following organization offices: Olympia Plan Service,
Olympia.
BID SECURITY
A certified check, bank cashier's check or bid bond
executed by a State licensed surety company is required
with each bid, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of
the Base Bid.
PERFORMANCE SECURITY
Performance Bond and Payment Bond will be required
for this project.
REJECTION OF BIDS
The Owner shall have the right to waive informalities
and to reject any or all bids and in particular to reject a
bid not accompanied by any data required by the Project
Documents or a bid in any way incomplete or irregular.
The Owner reserves the right to accept any bid which he
determines is in their best interest.

WAGE RATE
The successful contractor will be required to
pay prevailing wages as determined by the State of
Washington.
SITE VISIT

existing conditions prior to preparing his bid. Ignorance of
existing conditions will not be considered as an adequate
reason for a change order. The building being added onto
is the first building on the left inside the gate to the fields
at MCRA.
