TO SPEND SUMMER Mr. and Mrs. Gil Wilkie, San Gabriel, Calif. arrived at the Mark Cotters last Monday bringing with them the Cotters grandchildren, Kipp E. and Kerrie Lou Flentie, from South Pasadena. The Wilkies stayed a couple of days, during which time they all took a trip to Port Townsend and Whidby Island. Lynn Louise Nelson, daughter of the Raymond Vernon Nelsons, and Larry Duane Pelham will take their vows at the Fife Presbyterian Church, in Fife. HOME FOR A WEEK Art and Irma Indahl enjoyed having son Terry, his wife Suzanne and young Kyle up on a week's visit from San l)iego, where Terry is stationed. While here, they went to Bremerton and viewed Terry's ship, the Coral Sea. The young people then went on to Skagit to visit relatives and friends, and to Concrete for a visit with Suzanne's parents. They are due back in San Diego July 8. Terry will ship out again on the Coral Sea in September or October for his final tour of duty and will be out of the service in April, 1970. SURPRISE VISITORS The Laings had an unexpected visit Monday from Mr. and Mrs. "Hank" Keil and their children, from Pennsylvania. Pearl Keil grew up in Puyallup and this is her first visit back to her home state in six years. Hank is the Civilian Personnel Officer from Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg, Pa. GOLDEN WEDDING NNIVERS, ANNIVERSARY Mr. and Mrs. David Allen Balch celebrated their golden wedding anniversary Sunday. The Balchs are the parents of Mrs. Jim Claw of Ayock Beach. The reception in the family home at Puyallup was put on by the Balch's son and daughters. At a beautifully decorated table, midst lovely flowers, wearing a white gown, the bride anti her groom of 50 happy years received congratulations from many relative, neighbors and friends. FAMILY PICNIC Katherine and IIoward Connors of l'uyallup came for a visit at Ayock Beach, bringing with them the Bob Richters granddaughter, Jill. Katherine is Margaret Richter's sister. Jill will stay with her grandparents a few days. The Richters will take her home when they go in to attend a family gel-together and potluck picnic at the Conners home, on the 4th of July. Guest of honor at the picnic will be "Grandpa" George Richter, who is 94.
