Annual American Business Women's Award
Luncheon set for Friday, September 21 from 11:30
a.m. to I p.m. Due to the Campus Renewal Project,
the luncheon will be held at St. Edward's Catholic
Church, 601 W "C" Street in Shelton. This year's
award recipient(s) will be announced in late July.
Tickets for the event are S25 per person, and are
available at the MGHF Development Office at Gate-
way Center, 2505 Olympic Highway North, Suite 460,
Shelton; or by calling (360) 427-3623 (from Ailyn
(360) 275-8614).
Annual Women's Health Event

MGH Diagnostic Imaging Department's annual
Women's Health Event, sponsored by the Wash-
ington Breast, Cervical and Colon Health Program,
and the Karen Hilburn Breast & Cervical Cancer Fund
(KHBCCF) was another great success. According to
the organizer of the Event,.Karry Trout, RT(R)(M),
37 women received free or reduced-cost screening
mammograms - 10 more than at the 2011 Event.
The mammograms were available to women who
were uninsured or underinsured, with financial
assistance provided by KHBCCF. Free diabetes and
cardiac testing, as well as blood pressure checks,
were also offered. The next Women's Health Event is
set for this October, .which is National Breast Cancer
Awareness Month.
Fun Run Snapshots
The annual Goldsborough Creek Fun Run/Walk (2- and 7-mile run or
walk) was held in June as a part of the Forest Festival activities. There were
over 230 participants - from all across the area. Centennial Guild, an af-
filiate of MGH Foundation, was the organizer of the event, with all proceeds
going to Mason General Hospital & Family of Clinics. This year's event was
sponsored by Regence Bl eShield.

time to work in Treasures Thrift Store in May.
