Musser loins Air Force Julianne Musser, daughter of Bonnie Musser, Shelton, enlisted in the U.S. Air Force according to TSgt Allen Peterman, Air Force Recruiter in Lacey. Upon successfully completing the Air Force's six weeks Basic Military Training at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, she will receive technical training to become a veterinary specialist. She is a 1978 graduate of Shelton High School. She will be earning credits toward an Associate Degree in Applied Sciences through the Community College of the Air Force while attending basic and other Air Force technical training schools. Matlock Couple returns from recent trip By DORA HEARING Mr. and Mrs. i.C. Ford enjoyed a trip for two weeks. They tlew to Anchorage, Alaska, then up to Nose and Kotzebue, which is north of the Arctic Circle, and back to Anchorage. They took in a tour of Mr. McKinley of tile wild animals, the bus to Whitehorse and took the narrow-gauge train through the White Pass to Skagway, then a cruiser Ship "The Princendam" to Vancouver, B.C. The Matlock Ladies Club met last week Wednesday with Kay Barnes and Dora Hearing hostesses. Juanita Nelson's and Hazel Townsend's birthdays were celebrated. Kay Barnes baked the birthday cake.
