Happy Owners
Where are all the new people coming from? That seems to
be the most asked question from the home town folks. Well,
we at Shelton Land and Homes can help keep you informed on
where some of them are coming from.
Carl and Kathryn Kallstrom are from Kettle Falls,
Washington. They decided to buy a little piece of country. The
quiet and secluded spot they picked lends itself perfectly to
their many hobbies. The view will be an inspiration for
Kathryn's oil painting. The peaceful atmosphere witl provide
many hours for her sewing, knitting and crocheting. Carl is
delighted with the large parcel at land tar his wrougllt iron
workshop and carpentry. He says he s retired but it sounds like
he has his work cut out for some time to come.
Kathryn is invo ved in a very exciting and time-consuming
project. She s editing a book of short stories written by Carl's
father about his life. He is one of the real old-t me pioneers of
the Matlock area. He came to that area in 1889. It must be
hard to imagine the many changes that have taken place since
then. We are all looking forward to reading this interesting
piece of history.
Mason County is very fortunate to have people coming back
to live in the place of their forefathers' heritage. Carl and
