Belfair Summer Festival set for S(.urday St. Margaret's Guild will sponsor its fourth annual Belfair Summer Festival this Saturday, July 15, from I0 a.m. to 6 p.nl., in the Belfair Elementary School playshed. More than 50 booths will be participating in the fair tiffs year. They will be displaying local arts and crafts including weaving, pottery, macrame, tel, painting, photography, antiques, ceramics, woodworking and the usual flea markets. Belfair's only festival is sponsored by St. Margaret's Guild, which is affiliated with St. Gabriel's Catholic Church m Port Orchard. Proceeds from the festival Legal Publications PUBLIC NOTICE OF REGULAR MEETING There will be a regular Port of Dewatto Commissioner's Meeting at 7:30 PM, July 25, Star Rt. 1, Box 474, Dewatto, Washington. Virgil Timmerman Dewatto Port Manager 7/13-1t will go into tile guild's fund for establishing and operating a mission church in Belfair. The guild currently supports a program which conducts mass each Saturday at the Belfair Community Baptist Church. Other activities at the festival will include games for children of all ages with the ever-popular dunking tank for the big kids and beanbag toss for the little ones. Two clowns will also be on hand to entertain, along with a children's storyteller, lsabell Wolfer. For those with culinary interests, a restaurant will be operated by the guild and a bake sale will also be conducted by the local senior center program. (Pants, helmets, coats, Boots, gloves). Bunker Gear has to meet the new safety standards of the State. We reserve the right to refuse any and all bids. CRABPOT CROOK STRIKES TWICE Russell Frye of North Shore reports on July 10 that a crabpot was stolen from Hood Canal in front of his home for the fifth time this year. Ernie Zehnder, also of North Shore, reports on July 8 that a crabpot was removed from Hood Canal in front of his residence. Ed and Jackie Williams were winners with a low gross of 34. Vic and Kay Sinkunis tied with Jim and Marty Oldroyd for low net with 25. Women members of several golf clubs played at Lakeland on Alice Eros from Seattle, were third division winners. Patti Schillinger had the longest drive for the field; Naomi McCallom, Artondale, was nearest the pin on no. 5 and Ginnie Ramsdell, Clover Valley, was nearest the pin on no. 6 with her second shot. The visiting women were guests of the Allyn club for a salad luncheon after the prizes were given out. Nina and Mike Gallagher of Newkirk Road recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary at the Seattle home of their daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and David Jarret. The Gallaghers were married on June 26, ]953 in Wichita, Kansas. Thursday, June 29, in their Quit smoking lose weight ladies' club best-ball "Guest Day." The hearing will continue at 7:30 p.m• in the Library of North Mason High School as part of a SPECIAL SCHOOL BOARD MEETING scheduled for that evening. Interested citizens may pick up printed copies of the FINAL BUDGET proposal during regular office hours prior to the July 27th hearing date at the School District Administration Office or may appear at the July 27th meeting and at that time may through relaxation. Classes are approximately one hour each day for five days, Monday through Friday. A fee for the five sessions will be charged, but YWCA membership is not required. The Lose Weight Workshop will be held at 12 noon or 6:45 p.m. The Stop Smoking Workshop will be at 10:45 a.m., or 5:30 p.,n. The morning workshops will be at the American Legion Post 68 on Sheridan Road and Spruce St. in East Bremerton. The evening workshops will be held at the Great Northwest Federal Savings and Loan Building in their Community Room downtown. Pre-registration is necessary.
