Marvin H. Ackerman 1934 2023 On June 30, 2023, our dad completed his life’s journey in Shelton, Washington. Dad was born in 1934 in Volt, Montana to Gottlieb and Christina. His family later migrated to the little town of Quilcene, Washington where he grew up on the family farm with his 12 brothers and sisters. Dad graduated Quilcene High School in 1953 and started his long career life. He served honorably in the US. Army, spending a short time in Germany before returning home to work in the logging industry. Dad drove a logging truck for many years before becoming a diesel mechanic, welder, business owner and jack-of-all—trades. Because of his work, he made many long lasting friendships. Dad is survived by only three of his siblings: his older sister, Tillie Springer, youngest sister, Betty Jane Singleton, and youngest brother, Elmer. He is also survived by five of his six children: Lori Ackerman (Dave Clevenger), Kelli Root (John), John (Sandra), Jimmie (Leila) and David (Maria). His daughter Louise Bennett and his wife Terry, preceded him in death. Marvin has many grandchildren, great—grandchildren and great—great—grandchildren. As one of 13 siblings, he also has numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Dad lived a very long life of 88 years, was loved by many and will surely be missed by all. His Memorial service will be held on Aug 12th, 2023 at 1:00 pm. at the Masonic Temple in Quilcene. Mary Elizabeth Wyatt Mary Elizabeth Wyatt, 83, passed away on July 9, 2023 in the presence of family, whom she loved very deeply. She was a resident of Shelton, WA for over 51. years. Born in (.Ihicago, Ill on May 3, 1940 to Albert and Mildred Minghi. On June 30, 1962, she married Wilburn Franklin Wyatt who passed away November 1.6, 2019. Mary was a homemaker fer most of her married life. She was a volunteer firefighter, a member of the election board, and loved to bake, attend garage sales and shop for bargains. Above all though,. Mary loved her family and the Lord. She was a member of the Shelton» Christian Church. She is survived by her two children, Mary Lou Tucker (Stewart) and Wayne Franklin Wyatt; five grandchildren, Tabitha, Brandon, Ashley, Wade and Meagan and 10 great—grandchildren. Surviving siblings are her brother, Mike Minghi and sister, Margaret Goodwin. Memorial service will be held at a later date. She will be laid to rest at Shelton Memorial Park. By the time his sister Jean was born in 1966, the family was living in Mount Vernon, Washington. In 1974 his mother married Duane Eitreim, and the family went to live on Duane’s farm in Bow, Washington. Whenever possible, they went to stay with their Shelton and Hood Canal families where many happy memories were made. In 1981 Brian graduated from Sehome High School in‘ Bellingham, Washington and enlisted in the US. Air Force later that year. He left for basic training at Lackland AF base in Texas to begin his 20 years of service to the US. military. Brian and Kathleen Shell were married November 27, 1982 in Austin, Texas, and they were living on Bergstrom AFB when their daughter Anne- Marie Claire was born October 28, 1986. The last 12 years of his military career were as a Special Agent with the Air Force Office of Special Investigations. While stationed in the United Arab Emirates he served as the senior USAF counterintelligence official. Brian met and married Judith Margarita N ufiez on November 24, 1994, while stationed in Panama. After they were stateside, they welcomed their daughter Nicole Isabel on September 14, 1997- and later made their home in Bellevue, Nebraska. After retirement from the military, Brian worked for 10 years in service to US. STRATCOM as a Cou1'1te1"intelligence and Strategic Cyber Threat Analyst, and for six years at NASA as a Counterintelligence Special Agent. He was‘preceded in death by his mother, Judith Eitreim; father— in-law Rufmo N unez; grandparents Curtis and Virginia Grout, Sydney and Irene Tindall, and Claire and Viola Eitreim; uncle Dave Maars and aunt Diann Maars. He is survived by his wife, Judith Margarita Tindall: daughters Anne-Marie (Valerie) Shell and Nicole Isabel Tindall: father Reed lBarbara) Tindall; stepfather Duane Eitreim mother—in—law Isabel Noriega; sister Jean (Patrick) O’dell; brothers-in—law Edgar Nunez, Jaime Nunez, and Jose Nunez; SiSliGi‘S-il]~lkl\\’ Marlene Nunez, Maria Nunez, Luzmilla Nunez, Sonia Nunez, Elizaneth Nunez, Marianela N unez, and Ana Nunez; uncles Christopher Grout and Steve (Dee) Grout; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephew, both in the United States and Panama. A graveside service honoring Brian will take place at 11:00 am. on Friday, July 21st, at Bow Cemetery, Cemetary Road, Bow,_ Washington. A reception will follow at the O’dell home located at < 19899 Hill Court, Burlington, Washington. In lieu of flowers, the family would request donations to the Disabled American Veterans or the Wounded Warrior Project.
