Spryn of Boston Heights, Ohio and e Joy Scrogham of Shelton, left, are visiting for the Program expanding services Thanks to the incredible an]punt of community support, the Women's Shelter Program of the Olympia YWCA is now expanding services to women in crisis in Thurston and Mason counties. A central shelter called Harbor House, to accommodate as many as ten women and children was opened on June 16. The Women's Shelter Program is aimed at helping women in crisis, especially abused women and their children. The services currently being offe red are emergency housing, crisis intervention, referrals, and advocacy to help women receive community services. The program has been providing limited services for the past six months. In that time nearly 100 since 1957 when they met in Ohio. The opening of Harbor House this month has made it possible to house more women and to provide better coordinated services. Women who are interested in receiving support from the program, may call Crisis Clinic at 352-2211, our referral agency. Those wishing to contact the group for business reasons, may telephone the YWCA, Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at 352-0593. Persons are available to speak to staff and membership meetings or to answer questions. Aglow to meet Women's Aglow Fellowship will meet at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in Fellowship Hall of Assembly of God. No reservations are necessary for the breakfast of rolls, coffee and/or juice, for' which a charge will be made. Marion Crawford of Shelton will speak on "Healing and Inner Healing." An offering will be collected for babysitters who will provide service at the Second and Cedar Streets entrance of St. David's Episcopal Church.
