The 10U team, managed by Ben Waylett, made it to the regional tournament in Enumclaw last weekend up but lost out with a 1-2 re- cord. "The boys fought really hard," Waylett said. "We started off with a tough loss Friday night to Spokane in the bottom of the sixth 10-9. We bounced back Saturday morning with a win against the West Seattle All-Stars 14-4. Then that evening we lost in extra innings to the Seattle Senators, the team that went on to win it all." Waylett said the coaches from the Seattle Senators told him and his team they were the toughest team the Senators had faced all year. "The boys were amazing," he added. "They kept fight- ing and never gave up. An inning or two the other way and we probably would be in California. The team has a lot to be proud of. We went from a team that had a hard time finishing to a team that won two championships, our end-of-season tournament and state sectionals tourna- ment. This team has played a lot of baseball, we played roughly 60 games and fin- ished somewhere around 45 1-2 and Puterbaugh was wins and 15 losses." 2-3.
