KAREN KYTTA DISPLAYS the three paintings which won her merits in the recent McCleary Bear Festival Art Show and placed her in a tie for second place. The mountain scene is an original creation of Karen's. Creamers To Honor 25th Mr. and Mrs. Clarence E. Creamer will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary with an open house in their Ehna home near Schafer State Park, Rt. 1, Box 84, on Sunday from 2 p.m. - 6 p.m. The couple's children, Clovis (?reamer, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Creamer and Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Valley, will host the affair. Refreshments will be served. Friends, neighbors and relatives are cordially invited to attend. Kidney Foundation To Meet Tuesday The Mason County Kidney Foundation will hold their regular meeting on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Peste. No session was held last month, so members are urged to attend this month's gathering• Homemakers To Have A Potluck The PickeTing Homemakers will hold a potluck picnic supper in the home of ttarveann Wheeler on Phillips Lake at 6 p.m. Saturday. Guests are requested to bring their table service. Coffee and cream will be furnished. Those attending will enjoy the excellent swimming facilities of the lake. Golden Age Club To Picnic Soon Creativity Finds Numerous Outlets .e (;olden Age Club will hold their picnic August 14 at ttarstine Frequently painters boast of a number of other talents in addition to theii" ability to create on canvas. Artistic ability within an individual usually expresses itself in numerous ways. A good artist claims, among other things, the precision of a mathematician. This clarity gives the painter an advantage in all creative endeavors. Karen Kytta, a 12- year-old Shelton student, possesses all of these necessary qualities• Besides earning straight "A's" in math she plays the piano and clarinet. Karen began directing her abundance of expressiveness towards painting about two years ago. Recently her talents met with high recognition. She competed with and surpassed professional artisits in the McCleary Bear Festival Art Show. Karen won three merits for three of her ArflsCs A 5cries paintings and tied for second place in the popular w)te. Iter other showings include lhe Orthopedic (;uild May Day Bazaar:. In the future she plans to enter the Mason County Fair. Moll Chevrolet will display her pictures during the following week. Karen started out painting with water color but now limits herself to oil. She prefers the brush technique, having tried both that and palette knife. Karen, as many of Mason County's Other young art isis, enjoys depicting nature. Iter preference for the outdoors finds further satisfaction through her passion for swimming• Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Kytta, maintain a pool at their Angleside home partially for this reason. Karen will enter the 7th grade in Shelton Junior High School this fall. Miss Keyzers is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Dean Keyzers in Shelton. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Young of Springdale, Ark., are her husband's parents. The bride's father gave her in marriage. She wore a full-length gown of white lace gathered into an A-line design and a train of matching material. White-chiffon netting composed her mid-length veil. She carried yellow roses surrounded by white ribbon. Jane Marie Keyzers attended her sister as maid of honor. She was attired in an A-line dress of apricot coloring and a matching headpiece. She carried a bouquet identical to the bride's. Pat Petty created both of the gowns. . Karl Raymond Keyzers, brother of the bride, assisted as best man. Musician in the ceremony was Kathy McAferty. The couple greeted their guests at a reception in the church. They stood before a white table highlighted with yellow candles and a three tiered wedding cake originated by Mary Ellen tlerrick. Anna Mae Wiles and Alberta Nagel served the refreshments. Linda Ragan attended the guest book, and Cherrie Carpenter and Lorie Seljestad arranged the gift table. CWSC Honors Seven Shelton students were among those listed on the Spring Quarter ltonor Roll at Central Washington State College. Students on the honor roll have a minimum grade point average of 3.25 and must complete 12 credit hours during the quarter.
