Shelton library to
temporarily close
The Shelton Timberland Library will close for new
carpet installation beginning Monday, Aug. 15. The li-
brary is expected to reopen at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6.
"When the project is complete, the library will be
even more warm and welcoming than it currently is.
The carpet is really worn out and tired, so this will be
a great boost for the building," said Librarian Patty
Ayala Ross, the Shelton Timberland Library Manager.
In the interim, book drops will be open for people
to return library materials as usual. No other services
will be available during the closure. Library books
and other library materials that patrons have placed
on hold will be unavailable for pickup during the clo-
sure, so Shelton librarians encourage people to pick
up their holds before 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13.
New holds placed for pickup at the S.helton Tim-
berland Library will not be available until after Sept.

for time-sensitive materials to be picked up at anoth

events, the library's annual Summer Concert Series
will be held as planned on Tuesday evenings in Au-
gust in the outdoor amphitheater.
