Page A-38 — Shelton-Mason County — Thursday, Aug. 6, 2020 ‘ Beasts of Big Creek The 10th annual Beast of Big Creek trail race from Big Creek Campground near Lake Cushman to the summit of Mount Ellinor and back, a grueling trek of about 13.5 miles and 5,000 feet of vertical elevation gain, looked a little different this year due to the pandemic. Saturday’s event was chip-timed and competitors began at staggered starts * throughout the day.
