AND MRS, DUYH'S MARRIED Carol Johnson And Douglas Underwood Receive Scholarships Carol Johnson and Douglas Un- derwood, both of Hoodsport, were the happy recipients of awards from the Oletha Stark Memorial scholarship fund this week. The anouncement was made by the scholarship committee of the Hood Canal Woman's Club who have been administering the fund following the additional contri- butions made to it in memory of John Jenner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward H. Jenner of Potlatch. Carl Dugger, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Dugger of Skokomish Valley, is the third student bene- fitting from the growing schol- arship fund. He will be receiving an award for his second year of study. Douglas Underwood, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Unde1~vood, is 22 years of age. He has studied for a year and a half at Washington State University where he had a creditable grade average of 3.03. Douglas, or Butch as his friends call him, has worked every op- portunity he has had to em~ his way through school.
