4H group to
hold cancer
fundraiser
By EMILY HANSON
4-H group Run-n-Wild
is raising money for their
leader, Lori Papimi, who
has a rare form of lympho-
Ina.
"All the profits from our
benefit run will go to Lori to
help her with her medical
bills," said event organizer
Julie Chrisman.
The Lori Papimi Ben-
efit Show will be a two-day
event beginning at 9 a.m.
on Saturday, Aug. 20, and
Sunday, Aug. 21, at Arca-
dia Ranch.
Saturday is performance
day, during which partici-
pants showcase how well
they've trained their horses
by competing in events.
Sunday is gaming day,
during when individual
compete in games such as
barrel racing, pole bending
and pole key.
Both days are open for
participants of all ages. A
$5 fee is charged per class
or a participant can pay $25
for the whole day.
Attandance to the ben-
efit is free, though Chris-
man said the group is hop-
ing attendees will take part
in the silent auction and
buy lunch -- a pulled-pork
sandwich along with chips
• and a drink.
"We're hoping everybody
comes out so we can raise
a lot of money for Lori,"
Chrisman said.
Attendees should bring
their own chairs, she add-
ed, since Arcadia Ranch -
located at 3530 SE Arcadia
Road - is just getting start-
ed and does not have stands
up yet.

As another successful summer of youth soccer comes to an
end, we want to express our appreciation to all those
in the community who make it possible for local youth to
participate in a fun, positive 'summer activity.
We appreciate the opportunity to be a sponsor of youth soccer
and want to thank all the organizers, coaches, and volunteers
for the many hours they put into making summer soccer
such a great success.
