Highs will be in the 60's and the lows from 45 to 55 degrees. Chester D. Nuxoll Dies In Home Chester D. Nuxo]l, 542 S. 6th, Montesano, died Tuesday in his home. He was born Feb. 15, 1909 in Cottonwood, Idaho, and has lived in Grays Harbor for the past 25 years. He was employed for many years by the Simpson Timber Co. in Grisdale, and retired in 1949 after an industrial accident. He was a member of the Catholic Church. He is survived by-his wife Elizabeth of Montesano; two sons, Michael of Montesano and Jerry of Satsop a daughter, Mrs. Peggy Lovgren of Shelton 14 grandchildren; four brothers, Leo and Bernard Tierney of California, Frank Nuxoll of Montesano and Henry Nuxoll of Spokane; a sister. Mrs. Elizabeth Seubert, Cottonwood; and numerous nieces and nephews. Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. tonight in St. John's Catholic Church in Montesano, where a Funeral Mass will be said at 9 a.m. on Friday, with interment following in the Catholic Cemetery at Elma. Dance Is Set For Saturday ran lace By MARY VALLEY SKOKOMISH-The Skokomish Grange display at the Mason County Fair this past weekend placed first in the competition. This entitles them to the privilege of representing Mason County at the Puyallup Fair in September and competing with the other counties. The members who worked on the committee wish to sincerely thank the residents of the community who so generously contributed from their gardens and orchards to make this possible. Skokomish Grange will meet this Friday evening, starting with a "Pot Luck" dinner at 6:30 p.m. Harold Hunter" and grandsons Billy and Paul Taylor of Oyster Bay and Greg Hunter made a trek to Flapjack Lake and the Mt. Gladys divide Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Marshall and daughters of Olympia and Mrs. Rick Marshall of Shelton were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Valley. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Richert enjoyed a vacation trip east of the mountains last week. Stopping at Mesa where they visited Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Flansburgh who are former valley residents, going on to Idaho for a visit with Rev. and Mrs. John Handley, a former pastor of the Skokomish Community Church. On their return, the home of Mr. and Mrs. Stan Johnson, Toppenish, was their final stop.
