Construction of the new generator building is under- way. Located in the east parking lot near 13 Street the electrical contractor has been installing conduits for MGH's new power service during the month of August, Now foundations are poured and walls for the generator building will be constructed through September. By the end of September trusses will be i stalled and roofing will Work at the new surgical wing is progressing ahead of schedule. The concrete tilt-up panels are poured and the walls are erected. The first week of September structural steel for the roof will be installed then the steel contractor will begin placing steel for the new south entrance. By the end of September the general contractor will be getting ready to install the roof in order to keep the building dry and start work inside on mechanical and electrical systems. Work inside MGH has begun in the OB department with renovations to rooms 135 and 136. Look for the contractor's "Construction Pmgress"board to be placed at the north entrance.
