Since June, the rise in emergency calls has predominantly been related to vehicle accidents, Newman said. Some of these calls are major ac- cidents that require mutual aid from neighboring Kitsap or Mason County units. “There are so many hands involved when it comes to extricating someone from the vehicle,” Newman said.
