Food bank seeking school supplies for North Mason's kids The North Mason Food Bank is once again in need of school supplies tbr the upcoming school year. The food bank tries to supply children with all of the school sup- plies that they will need through- out the year. In addition to the usual supplies -paper, pencils, pens, rulers, crayons, etc.- food bank officials are also hoping to secure more backpacks. Any school supply donations may be dropped off at the North Mason Food Bank, located at 22471 State Route 3 or at Kit- sap Physical Therapy, located at 24160 NE State Route 3. Of- ficials say that they would like to begin passing out the supplies on August 20. The North Mason Food Bank, which is not affiliat- ed with the House of Prayer food bank, may be reached by calling 275-4615. Hood Canal group seeking nominees for its annual award The Hood Canal Coordinating Council is looking ibr nomina- tions for the 2007 annual Hood Canal Environmental Achieve- ment Awards. The annual Hood Canal Envi- ronmental Achievement Awards and Conference will be held Fri- day, November 30, at the Inn at Port Hadlock.
