Mt. Olive hosts Back to School Jamboree Mr. Olive Lutheran Church recently held its Back to School Jamboree. More than 135 students and their families attended last week's event, during which organizers gave out free school supplies, cloth- ing and haircuts. Sewing and woodwork- ing lessons, a 4-H dog dem- onstration, Zumba lessons and visits from the Reptile Man Scott Peterson were among the highlights, or- ganizers said. Jennifer Hopper of Tay- lor Shellfish shared a les- son on shellfish and clams. Heidi Iyall of Mason Coun- ty Public Health handed out dental hygiene kits and assisted parents with learning about children's dental health. Other volunteers includ- ed NJROTC cadets and a number of hairdressers and volunteers from Mr. Olive.
