• Rose Ann Rayos, M.D.,joined the medical staff at
Oakland Bay Pediatrics and Mason General Hospital in July
2012. She has a particular interest in pediatric oral health,
and plans to continue to educate both parents and chil-
dren to prevent future oral diseases by promoting positive
behavior. Some of her other interests include neonatal
resuscitation, pediatric dermatology, and adolescent health.
• For the fifth consecutive year, MGH&FC has received the prestigious,"Most Wired"
Hospital award, this year competing with 1,570 hospitals surveyed across the nation
in information systems capability. The Hospitals & Hedlth Networks (H&HN) Most Wired
Survey identified MGH&FC as one of 215 hospitals in the country that were given this
designation. MGH received the"Most Wired"- Rural
Hospital award in 2008 and 2009, and in 2010 was
reclassified to be included in not j ust ru ral, but all
hospitals, nationwide. Every year since then - 2010,
2011, and now 2012 - it has received the Most
Wired Hospital award for information technology
(IT) that implements systems to ensure quality and
improve efficiency in the delivery of patient care.
• Tickets are now on sale for MGH Foundation's 15th annual American Business
Women's Award Luncheon set for Friday, September 21 from 11:30 a.m. to
1 p.m. Due to the Campus RenewalConstruction Project, the Luncheon will be held
at St. Edward's Catholic Church, 601 W "C" Street, Shelton. This yeaFs reci pients are
Stephanie L. Fyfe, owner of Steph's Espresso; Diana Goldy, office services director,
Green Diamond Resource Company; and Patty J. Ayala Ross, library manager, Shelton

The MGH Shelton Diabetes Support Group's next
meeting will beThursday, September 20, 2012 from 1 to
2 p.m. Due to Hospital construction, the session will be held
in the new PUD Meeting Room at 2621 E John's Prairie Road,
,Sheiton, September's topic for discussion is "Wellness Suc-
cess Stories" a nd will featu re pea pie from the co m m unity
sharing their success in managing their health, and inspir-
ing others to make personal wellness their priority] Sarah
Fulkerson, registered dietitian and certified diabetes edu-
cator for MGH&FC, will guide the program and there will
be time set aside for the class to share their own concerns
